Living in a comparatively rich society like Hong Kong, youngsters often find it hard to fathom why other kids are needlessly blind. That's why 2013 ORBIS once again organize a Blindfold Lunch to let local children experience how to eat food they can't see. As always, our ultimate aim is to increase kids' understanding of the difficulties facing millions of preventably blind people worldwide and why they need to safeguard their own eyesight.
After enrolling, your school can arrange to host Blindfold Lunch any day on or before May 31, 2013. We will provide all participating students with a Blindfold Lunch leaflet which includes an informative educational eye-care game. All students who donate HK$20 or over will also receive a special eye mask designed by Little Horse.
All participating schools will receive Thank You Certificate from ORBIS. We will also offer the following recognitions for participating schools:
- Top three fundraising schools
- Top three schools with the most participants

The over 3,000 students who participated in last year's Blindfold Lunch helped raise over HK$120,000 for our sight saving work. Happily, everyone who took part also vowed to take better care of their eyes when their blindfolds were removed and their sight "restored".
Act now! Enroll and join this meaningful event by March 28, 2013, and help us to transform lives of millions of blind children in the world!
