Students from Ying Wa College organized a Casual Wear Day to raise funds for ORBIS with all students donating HK$25 or above able to abandon school uniform and dress on a designated day. Attracting some 1,019 student supporters, the initiative was a huge success.
The chance to wear casual clothes to school proved very popular.
The SAC team also presented the Casual Wear Day fundraising idea to their alumni association on their monthly dinner, this presentation successfully called alumni to support the meaningful event and donate generously.
The Ying Wa College Old Boy's Association were very generous supporters.
The SAC team also hosted a talent show at the Parent Teacher Association's Christmas Party, collecting still more donations from every table.
Extra funds were raised at the PTA’s Christmas Party.
The highly creative Ying Wa students are to be commended for developing new channels to raise extra funds. ORBIS expresses its thanks to the Student Ambassadors' school and fellow classmates, plus their teachers, parents and alumni for their role in the success of this initiative.
