The Student Ambassadors at Hoi Ping Chamber of Commerce Secondary School organized not one but two fundraising events in school Casual Wear Day and a Charity Bazaar in Ho Man Tin Estate, for ORBIS.
As always, the decision to allow all students donating HK$5 to ORBIS on Casual Wear Day proved hugely popular. In addition to transforming the lives of the needlessly sightless people, the event also helped create a relaxed atmosphere for students to learn.
Many students brought cameras along to take souvenir snaps!
The Charity Bazaar was another excellent fundraising idea and received the passionate support of teachers, students and parents. Ultimately, many goods were donated and bought by residents of the nearby Ho Man Tin Housing Estate, all of whom went home with a much fuller understanding of ORBIS and its work.

Residents from Ho Man Tin Estate enthusiastically supported the Charity Bazaar.
Charity sales in the actual school also achieved outstanding results.
This initiative's success was largely due to the unstinting support of classmates, the school, its teachers and pupils' parents generous. ORBIS expresses its heartfelt thanks to all those whose support of the Charity Bazaar has done so much to fund its global sight saving work.
